Recent projects  -    Bear

Sorcha and Niamh worked together on a project about bears. They started with Paddington.

Sorcha made a drawing of a polar bear and together they sculpted a polar bear on an icecap..

They rolled out clay, cut shapes and joined them together,  to form the polar bear, and fired it in the kiln.

A number of students with support needs attend, either independently, or  referred by various service providers.

Their work is inspired by Camphill Community craft workshops  in county Kildare.

A project with Gheel Centre  in   Drumcondra involved  students in making garden pots and a ceramic mural for their garden .

The students studied plants and creatures in the Botanic Gardens, worked on individual clay pieces in the studio , which they decorated with coloured slip and fired. Pieces were assembled for a mural which was mounted on the wall of the garden shed.

Student work from Dunshane Camphill Community, and Grangebeg Camphill Community, Kildare
